Cod with sweet potato, celery and carrot

The vegetable part of this purée is delicious on its own, but the fish and cream cheese add a lovely creaminess to it, and incorporates the fat a baby needs in its diet. This fish recipe is anything but bland!

150g (5oz) sweet potatoes, peeled and diced

150g (5oz) carrots, peeled and diced

100g (4oz) celery, diced

100g (4oz) potatoes, peeled and diced

300ml (10fl oz) unsalted vegetable stock

50g (2oz) boneless, skinless cod fillet, cut into small cubes

1 tbsp cream cheese

✸ Put the vegetables and stock into a saucepan. Bring up to the boil, cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Add the cod and simmer for another 5 minutes. Blend until smooth or mash for older babies then stir in the cream cheese.
