How do I deal with social rejection?

Dear Baba Yaga,

I moved to my husband’s home state last year to start a new life and enjoy my husband’s community, but few of his family and friends have given me a chance. I differ from them in many ways, and I am too outspoken on things I am passionate about. I try not to care about others’ opinions, but I haven’t made many friends, and it has been lonely. How do I feel secure enough to stand on my own two legs and be OK with rejection?
