FIVE MINUTES MY ass. Donatello’s concept of time is clearly warped because I’ve spent the last twenty minutes hiding in the upper bathroom waiting for him to sneak out of a meeting downstairs. If Remy found us, he’d kill Donatello. Well maybe not kill him, but he’d definitely break his face and probably his hands. Remy has a thing for breaking people, especially with Bev being gone. The thought almost makes me feel guilty for sneaking around… almost.

Fiddling with the strings on my hoodie I’m about to give up on waiting, hopping off the counter I’m sitting on, to retreat out the back unseen when I hear the slight knock on the door. My skin flushes with a nervous excitement as I hurry to crack the door open, showing a sliver of Donatello’s lopsided grin. “What’s the password?” I whisper and he quietly chuckles, dark eyes shifting around the hallway before he leans closer.

“Mayonnaise.”

Biting my lip to keep my giggles contained I open the door for him, and he slips in, flipping the lock before turning back to face me. “Mayonnaise? That’s the best you could think of?” He shrugs as he gets closer, pulling me to him by my hips and tilting down for a kiss.

“I’ll think of a better one next time.” His voice is low and gravelly as he tries to stay quiet, whispering against my lips between our kisses. “I have a new joke for you.”

“What is it?” It’s a breathy, quiet question that’s almost swallowed up by his lips. He’s backed me up against the counter I was just sitting on, lifting me up to set me back onto the marbled surface.

“How do you make a tissue dance?” His lips are trailing along my neck as he speaks, and I can feel his smile as he waits for my response.

“How?” My fingers dig into his hair with one hand as he nips softly at my skin, the other trailing across his chest, fingers spread wide to feel as much of him as possible. We don’t get much time together and I want to feel as much as him as time allows.

“You put a little boogie in it.” I slap my hand over my mouth to keep from laughing too loudly as he muffles his own chuckles against my neck.

“That’s so bad…” Pulling his face up for another kiss, I wrap around him as his fingers slide up and under my hoodie, pushing it up my sides. “I love it.”

“I knew you would.” He mumbles against my lips, tongue reaching out to run over my bottom lip. “E ho circa trenta minuti per fare l’altra cosa che ami.” And I have about thirty minutes to do the other thing you love.

I smile and nip at his lips, fireflies buzzing happily in my belly as my sweatshirt is tossed onto the tile. “Vai avanti allora…uomo sfacciato.” Go ahead then…cheeky man.
