Step 9 – Display Project Costs

• Display the project costs by changing the table view from Entry table to the Cost table, by

selecting the View tab and choosing the Table icon. The cost for the Job Setup Project is

demonstrated below.

Step 10 – Add a Baseline to the Project

• To add a baseline to the Project select the Project tab and click the Set Baseline arrow and choose Set

Baseline. A baseline is set before the start of a live Project, when an agreement has been reached by the

“Project Stakeholders” that the Project is setup correctly and in an “ideal world” with no problems the Project would be completed within the agreed timescale and costs. Before a Project baseline is set the Project Stakeholders should sign and date a document agreeing to the Project setup. The Variance table

below demonstrates a Project baseline which is about to be set and the “agreed” Project dates are copied

into the baseline start and finish date columns, when the baseline is set.
