Note that after the auxiliary verbs “to want”and “to be able to/can” subjunctive present is used regardless of the tense of the auxiliary verb:

Subjunctive present is used after final conjunctionsand“so that/in order to”. to express a sense of purpose. Note thatandare interchangeable and unlike English in Persian these conjunctions can be omitted from the sentence. e.g.
