Isn’t Positive Feedback Better Than Negative Feedback?
Good and bad feedback is not the kind of feedback that I refer to in these paragraphs. We’re now discussing reinforcing (positive) feedback and opposing (negative) feedback in a mathematical sense.
Do not confuse this with “positive” and “negative” feedback in the sense of saying positive things to a person to support some kind of behavior, or negative things to criticize something. That is a completely different topic, not addressed here.
