Exercise #7- Set your alarm 15 minutes earlier than normal. Before you go to bed have your computer primed and ready. Use propinquity to make sure all you have to do is sit down and write. When you wake up write for 10 minutes. See how it feels. You probably won't be very fast at first, but that's okay. If you repeat this every day you'll improve rapidly. If you like the process you can increase the time you write.
Bonus: Download my 5,000 Words Per Hour App, or use a timer to conduct a writing sprint. If you aren't familiar with the process, feel free to check out 5,000 Words Per Hour the book, which explains how writing sprints work and how you can maximize your writing time. Reading 5KWPH isn't necessary to developing a writing habit, but it will make you far more productive, which is especially handy for those of us with busy lives.
