SUMMARY
We have provided an overview of the major features of the Fourth Manufacturing Revolution using Neural Networks as applied to the previously unsolvable problem of optimum Job Shop Manufacturing. As we shall see, the concepts of searching data for waste and looking for common patterns that eliminate this waste inevitably lead you to the use of a Neural Network to minimize waste. Future chapters, as disparate as semiconductor manufacturing, product development, and project management, share the methods outlined in this chapter. In the next two chapters we will provide more insight into the creation of Neural Networks.
