You Shall Know The Truth…

​ “…and that’s what happened outside the church, Amanda – and it is scary – it is scary to find myself when my identity has been someone else’s for so long.” Said Toni.

​ Amanda pointed to a bench to sit on. Around them, the children were playing. Couples were walking and holding hands. The birds were flying, singing and chasing each other. There was a soft breeze in their faces. The day was perfect. Toni looked at Amanda and then looked around her wondering – wondering if this was the same place that woman sat on the day that changed her life.

​ “You know, Toni – people come into a relationship with themselves by coming into a relationship with God. I’m not talking about the Watchtower’s Jehovah, I’m talk…”

​ “But Amanda – Jehovah is God!”

​ “Toni, that’s a god the Watchtower wants you to believe in – their interpretation of God. God’s not limited to who the organization says He is – because once you have God ‘figured’ out, then He’s no longer God. Do you think the organization has a monopoly on truth – who they say Jehovah is?”

​ “Yes. Yes, I do.”

​ “Okay – and what has that truth done for you? Toni – even a simple, child’s song put a glow on your mom’s face – that Jesus loved her. That woman you met, she had a glow on her face. Do you know what I believe happened? They found

Jesus, they discovered themselves by knowing Jesus – and they loved who and what they saw .”

​ Just then, a man with a dog was walking by –

​ “No , Dolce . No .” Toni looked up at the man, and his face glowed.

​ Then she looked at two children playing nearby –

​ “Andiamo laggiù ! Andiamo !” Their faces glowed too!

​ Then she looked at Amanda. What she saw startled her and she suddenly stood up.

​ “Amanda! There’s a glow about you – just like I saw on mom and that woman at the church! What’s going on here !?”

​ “I am not surprised , Toni. Remember you said you saw a light in your dream when Jesus appeared after you sang? All those present – did their faces glow?” [7]

​ “Yes! Yes, they did. Thall all did!”

​ “That’s because they have a relationship, Toni. They have a relationship with Jesus. He is the Source of our happiness. That’s what that lady was talking about . Those who know Him, know the Truth – for He alone is The Truth.” [8]

​ The next day, it was time to fly home. Carlo’s family went to the airport to see them off. After tearful hugs and the good byes, the four headed through security. Airport chatter could be heard along with airline flight announcements. It was a busy day at the airport. After their passports and airline tickets were checked they headed to their gate.

​ During a brief stop in Frankfurt, Germany, Carlo made a quick call to Adriana to see how things were going.
