In many Spanish-speaking countries, picadillo is a dish of ground meat fried with vegetables and often raisins. In this variation, a whole cut of beef is grilled for added flavor, and the remaining picadillo ingredients are combined into a zesty relish.

½ cup bottled herb-garlic marinade

1 tablespoon preminced oil-packed garlic

2 tablespoons olive oil (preferably extra-virgin)

1 container (7 ounces) presliced onion and red bell pepper (2 cups)

¼ cup raisins

¼ teaspoon salt
