She cleared her throat and glanced away to stop her wayward thoughts. Her heart pounded against her chest and her palms moistened regardless of her will to stop all physical reaction to Bryce. “In a few moments, I’ll apply the honey.”

“Aye.”

The words rasped from him. So husky and sensual, she felt it deep within her. She flushed and moved to the supply of honey. With shaking hands, she spooned some of the golden nectar into a small vessel and turned toward Bryce.

His close inspection unnerved her. How to address the shifting of emotions, the wave of awareness of his body and how hers responded when he was near?
