It took Snow White most of three whole hours to untangle Fifi’s guts from his legs, and most of another two to sew everything back together again. The wolf, fortunately, was made of Tougher Stuff Than Most, and Not Afraid of a Little Dirt, so he survived it well enough. But he certainly didn’t enjoy it!

“Ouch,” the wolf said. “Ouch ouch ouch.”

“Stop your bellyaching, Fifi,” said Snow White. “You aren’t making this any easier.”

“Gee,” said the wolf. “I thought my part was hard enough.”

Snow White scowled. “Not as hard as it could be!” she said, deliberately jabbing him in the rear with her sewing needle.

“Yow!” cried the wolf.

“See, I told you!”
