Neurological Complications

1.Permanent neurological complications at highly experienced centers are rare: one out of 1200, or 0.083% [8].

2. Neurological complications may be higher when less experienced operators are involved, but are still generally under 1%.

3. Neurological complications include transient or permanent brainstem ischemia [9, 10], brainstem hemorrhage [9], subarachnoid hemorrhage [11], and transient sixth cranial nerve palsy [12].
