CHAPTER 12 – NICOLE (Two Weeks Later)

I could not keep my mind on work. Whenever Greyson caught me alone in a room of the hotel, or the makeshift office he had carved out for me, he couldn’t keep his hands to himself. Not only his hands but on a couple of occasions, that glorious dick he had.

Yes, he had bent me over the desk in his office and mine on a couple of occasions. We had even “tested” out one of the bedrooms that had been finished and was only waiting for the rest of the furniture. He had suggested the bed was all we needed, and he wanted to make sure it was a good fit for the services he wanted to offer his clients.

The construction crew knew something was going on between us, because on a couple of occasions when I slipped from his office, some of them had been passing by wearing knowing grins. I had seen them tip their hats on occasion to Greyson, but he would frown and bark at them about having no work to do. They would scamper away and hurry off to busy themselves.

He would send a mischievous look my way, and I had to fight hard to stop myself from blushing. It was his fault, after all. Greyson never seemed to be pleased until I screamed out or moaned out his name in some manner. He had assured me he loved it when I was noisy.

We were back and forth at one another’s homes on the weekends. I think if Greyson could have it his way, it would be the same during the week. We shared almost all our meals together anyway and barely spent time apart. Yet, when we parted at the hotel each night to return home, I went back to my space and sent him to his.

Spending the night with him would have made me late every day. I drew the line because I knew there was no way that I could complete this project on time, and the opening of his hotel would have to be delayed if we couldn’t make the deadline. That was bad for business.

Although he gave me the pitiful look of a child and begged and pleaded, I stood firm on my no. I explained to him that I could not function on no sleep and nights filled with sex. He disputed it, stating he couldn’t sleep for lack of sex. He claimed to be a sex-deprived man, but I wasn’t certain how that could be when we were screwing in the hotel every chance we got.

“Nicole, Nicole!”

“Huh?” I asked, pulling my gaze from the fabric book in front of me.

My eyes met the chocolate scowling face of Jocelyn as she bent over my desk in front of me, one hand on her hip. It was a rare event that I was in the office these days as I spent so much time at GB Manor, as it was affectionately known.
