A Cheese Ball

While I was growing up, there was always a cheese ball at the parties my mama would drag me to, and the funny thing was, no one ever knew what the cheese ball was called other than a cheese ball. So I stuck with tradition and left this recipe nameless. Sometimes you just gotta call it what it is—just another cheese ball.

Serves 8

1 cup finely chopped pecans

2 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, at room temperature

2 cups grated white sharp Cheddar cheese

⅓ cup gluten-free breakfast sausage, crumbled and browned

2 teaspoons gluten-free Worcestershire sauce (I like Lea & Perrins)

2 teaspoons green onion, just the green parts, sliced thin

Gluten-free crackers for serving
