Chapter Eight

Safe. A sense of being protected surrounded Chuck, as if he were encased in a soft, warm cocoon where no one could get to him. His parents, his angry grandfather, the cousin who knew his secret and had always held it over his head…

“Mmm. Still in my arms. Absolute heaven.”

Jordan’s sleep-roughened voice sounded next to Chuck’s ear and his heart skipped. He wouldn’t open his eyes, wouldn’t chase the good dreams away or start the morning yet. Anything to remain wrapped in the strong embrace of his…boyfriend? Lover? Or was it simply Sir? He’d have to ask.

“Good morning, uh, Sir.”

Jordan chewed on his shoulder. Chuck loved the way Jordan used his teeth on him. “Does it make you uncomfortable to call me that on an ongoing basis?”

“No. Just different. New. Is that what I should call you from now on? Or only when we’re alone?”

Jordan squeezed him tighter as he kneaded his flesh. The thick erection nestled against his back made him hope it was still early enough for them to spend some quality time together before his meeting with Stone at Matheson and Sharp.

“I’d love for it to be all the time, but we can go over all that later when we discuss our initial contract.”

“Initial?” Chuck shoved his ass into Jordan’s groin.

Jordan groaned. “Bad boy. Teasing his Sir when he knows he can’t be fucked. Am I right?”

“We can do other things.”

Jordan quietly laughed, his heated breath wafting over Chuck’s neck. “Fuck yeah, we can.” He bit Chuck’s shoulder. Not hard enough to leave a mark, but enough to give him a nice zing to the end of his dick. He sighed and Jordan laughed again. “Uh-huh, I thought so. We’ll have to see how much more you can take later on. Anyway, it’s initial because you’re gonna be riding up and down and all around like you’re on a crazy carnival ride with everything we’ll getting up to at first. So, we’ll take it slow in the beginning. Nothing too extreme until we know each other better. Or in particular, until I can read you better.”

Chuck squirmed in Jordan’s arms, his morning wood achingly hard. He needed to piss, but doubted he’d even be able to. “I think you can read me very well. I was actually pretty surprised.”

“That’s because you’re the right boy for me. And I’m not messing with you, I mean that.”

Jordan wrapped his hand around Chuck’s throat and encouraged him to angle his head so they could meet for a kiss. It wasn’t until Jordan had his tongue in his mouth that he wondered whether he should be concerned about morning breath. Jordan moaned and explored him deeper. Doesn’t bother me. He answered with his own tongue.

He startled, almost choking on his own spit as his cellphone jangled to life. He didn’t go for pop songs or quirky ringtones, just a regular bell chime. It was more professional.

“Think it could be something about the case? It’s still only seven.”

Jordan loosened his hold, which made Chuck want to kill his phone.
