Machchi Curry

Ingredients

500 Grams pompret fish, cut into pieces

2 Large onions, turn into paste

4 Teaspoons ginger garlic paste

3 Tablespoons tomato puree

1 Tablespoon ghee

2 Tablespoons beaten curd

Salt to taste

Black pepper powder to taste

1 Tablespoon fish curry powder

3–4 Curry leaves

1 Teaspoon mustard seeds

2–3 Dry red chillies

1 Tablespoon fresh coriander leaves, chopped

Directions

Heat ghee in a heavy bottomed pan. Add mustard seeds, red chillies, curry leaves & cook for 2 minutes. Add onion paste, ginger garlic paste and tomato puree and cook for 10 minutes. Now add curd and fish curry powder. Cook for 2 minutes. Add fish pieces, cover with lid and cook for 5–6 minutes.

Garnish with corriander leaves and serve with steamed rice.
