After the service, Nellie smiled up at Nicholas. “That’s it. That wasn’t so bad, was it?”

He smiled. “It was quite nice, actually.”

In the lobby, Nellie introduced him to Carl and Meg, and Cassie and Silas. Meg invited Nicholas to Sunday dinner. He thanked her, and explained that he and Nellie had reservations at The Steak Plate for dinner.

Laura watched Nellie and Nicholas as they walked hand-in-hand to the buggy. Laura put her hand to her heart and sighed. "They're so adorable together.”

Jesse frowned, “I just hope he has really changed and he doesn’t hurt our Nellie.”

“Nellie is very mature, and she can handle anything that comes her way. But, I think that Nicholas is so smitten with Nellie that he’d do anything for her.” Laura snaked her arm through Jesse’s arm. “Don’t worry. And be pleasant to Nicholas. He's trying very hard.”
