Pulse Rate Peter

After being asked what type of man she wants, one woman said, “One with a pulse rate. As long as he has a pulse rate, he’s fair game.” This type of thinking can be referred to as the Pulse Rate Mentality. After the woman made her comment, the other women in the class thought she was saying it to get a laugh. She did get a laugh, but when everyone settled down, she let them know that she was serious. “He just has to be a man. I can take it from there.” How many women do you think share these sentiments about getting a man? It is impossible to determine how many women think like this because some may never admit it publicly. Therefore, I went to the men to see if any of them had played the role of Pulse Rate Peter. I set up a special class day labeled For Men Only. The men in the class were asked to invite other men who may be interested in this discussion. Thirty-three men came to the special class. They were all eager to give their definition of their “tales of conquest” with women they defined as weak. One male said, “I don’t know if I am Pulse Rate Peter, but I can tell you that I have been involved with several women whose only requirement of me was to show up. They did everything else. They didn’t ask me if I had a lady friend, if I were married, or if I were living with someone. It was like they didn’t care what else I did as long as I spent time with them and screwed them. That was fine with me.”

Another male talked about feeling like a stud because the women seemed to only want the sex. “If that’s all they wanted, I could handle that.” Still another man talked about his bedroom relationships. He gave it that name because he stated that he only spent time in women’s bedrooms. He described one case as follows: “She would lead me directly to her bedroom and I would follow her. Afterward, I would do what the Gap Band says in one of their songs, ‘put the pedal to the metal and burn rubber.’ That means that I would satisfy her sexually beyond her wildest imagination. Basically, that’s all you have to do. Just make them have an orgasm and you can come back as much as you want for as long as you want, and that’s the truth.” Still another man admitted that you have “a lot of women who are desperate. They are lonely, alone, and don’t have nobody to love them. All I do is help them out. I take them out of their misery.” The male who received the most applause and laughter, simultaneously, was the one who reported, “I am not just Pulse Rate Peter. I’m Pulse Rate Peter with a peter (penis). The women don’t want me without my penis. Therefore, pulse rate is not enough.
