The reason why I used Mr. Welch as an example of profit is to make the point that profit is not an ugly thing and it’s definitely not greed. Profit is something that should be talked about in a positive matter more often than not. It means the company is doing well and everyone is working together to accomplish a predetermined goal. A man who wants to lead the orchestra must turn his back on the crowd.
So many times, I see CEO’s and Presidents of companies hide and shy from talking about their company revenue and profit margin. Imagine winning a sports’ championship and not be able to celebrate. Business owners and leaders celebrate the company’s quarterly and annual profit margin. Don’t forget to give back to those who give you their life.
