Turkey Jerky

Ingredients

1 boneless skinned turkey breast fat trimmed

½ cup water

2 tablespoons brown sugar

¼ cup soy sauce

½ teaspoon onion powder

2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon fresh pounded black pepper

½ teaspoon garlic powder

Directions:

Put the breast in the freezer to partly freeze for 30 minutes.

When frozen, slice finely on the grain.

Mix other ingredients in a container, and then stir well.

Add all turkey slices, then stir to coat the turkey parts with the marinade.

Seal tightly then refrigerate overnight.

The next day, put the turkey slices as well as the marinade to a container, then simmer at 160 degrees C.

Preheat your oven to 150 degrees C.

Remove the turkey strips off the marinade.

Dry all turkey slices by paper towels.

Arrange the strips on the oven racks.

Leave the oven`s door open to let moisture escape.

Cook the turkey for 5 hours.

Let cool then store into a sealed container.
