Some people said, “It’s very interesting, but why are you doing that? What are the benefits for Desjardins? What is the business purpose?” The Summit is a “cooperative connecting platform.” The leverage that we got within Desjardins is partly an outcome. It helped us facilitate two recent transactions with cooperatives and build new relationships. Something will happen over time if you have a vision and if you are committed to provide “life to the community.”
