Step1:

Define the ejection phase by measuring the timing of the aortic valve opening and closure from the pulsed-wave Doppler signal in the LV outflow tract (Fig. 13.2).

Step 2:

Use the TDI curves to measure the time difference between the beginning of the QRS complex and the peak systolic velocity
