Radiographic views

The target lesion should be imaged:

• In at least two angiographic projections, preferably at right angles (orthogonal views).

• Avoiding overlap with other coronary vessels.

• Providing the least amount of foreshortening (if the vessel is not imaged at 90° to the X-ray source, the lesion may appear shorter and more severe).

•

Sometimes, due to the location of the target lesion, separate views may be required to adequately image the proximal and distal limits of the lesion.
