Outdoor Cafés

These are perfect meeting places. Informal and open all day and evening, these cafés are perfect for a restful break during sightseeing or shopping. Service is leisurely and the menu ranges from espresso to beer to cocktails, from ice cream to double hamburgers.

The Forum

Edificio Centro Capriles

Plaza Venezuela

On the ground floor of this modern office building is the Forum, which has good food and drink at modest prices and as a bonus offers live music in the late afternoon and evening. The place grooves between 5 and 7 most evenings as the young office singles gather en masse. Shoeshine boys are at the ready here.

Two other splendidly slow cafés where you can relax with a rum cocktail or espresso are Papagallo, Centro Comercial Chacaíto, Chacaíto District, and the Café Piccolo, Calle Real de Sabana Grande near Los Jabillos, Sabana Grande District. The Piccolo’s impromptu music keeps the place jammed.

There are other outdoor cafés spread all over the city.
