For the first exercise, you need to think of a story youâve read recently and identify its supporting character. Having done that, ask yourself the following questions about this character and see what you can find:
How does this character help in the advancement of the plot?
Do they reveal any new information about the protagonist? If they do, have they done it in the best possible way, or was there room for improvement?
Does the peculiar personality or behavior of this character set the tone for the scenes theyâre present in?
