Most are detected mammographically as a small spiculated mass.

Can be associated with pleomorphic calcifications in up to 50% of the cases.

Tubular carcinoma is a type of well-differentiated IDC usually smaller than 2 cm in size.

Composed of well-differentiated tubular structures.

Low rates of axillary node metastases and recurrence.

May be false-negative on MRI or PET.

Generally can be treated with breast-conservation surgery and sentinel node biopsy. Radiation therapy is controversial.
