Chocolate Mousse Brownie Dessert

Prep Time: 15 Minutes • Start to Finish: 2 Hours 20 Minutes • 12 to 16 servings

3⁄4 cup heavy whipping cream

1 bag (6 oz) semisweet chocolate chips (1 cup)

1 box supreme brownie mix

Water, oil and eggs called for on brownie mix package

3 eggs

1⁄3 cup sugar

Whipping cream, if desired

1 Heat oven to 350°F. Grease bottom only of 13 × 9-inch pan with shortening.

2 In 2-quart saucepan, heat whipping cream and chocolate chips over low heat, stirring frequently, until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth. Cool about 20 minutes.

3 Meanwhile, make brownie mix as directed on package, using water, oil and eggs. Spread batter in pan.

4 In small bowl, beat 3 eggs and sugar, using whisk or hand beater, until foamy. Stir into whipping cream mixture. Pour evenly over brownie batter.

5 Bake about 45 minutes or until topping is set. Cool completely, about 2 hours.

6 Serve at room temperature, or cover tightly and refrigerate until chilled. Top each serving with sweetened whipped cream. Store covered in refrigerator.
