In our modern world your children are going to absorb A LOT of information from A LOT of different sources. Dealing with input you can’t always control such as their friends, media, teachers, and extended family members can be really stressful. You might at times feel like someone else is raising your kids for you. Finding the right people to take care of your children is important. Please consider this when comparing day care options or the different interactive situations your kids encounter. Negativity is lasting and contagious. While you might think children don’t notice, they do! Remember or care about what is being done or said around them.

Acting in the same way that you would like your children to act is a good approach. Say to them the things you would feel comfortable hearing yourself. This also goes for the situations you bring them into. While we are trying to make the best of it, the fact is not everyone else is seeking a positive and productive path. So try and keep that in mind with everything from what you are watching on television to those you let around your kids.
