2.3 A Brief Incursion on Symptomatology of Alzheimer’s Disease

Before displaying our ideas in this new subchapter, we need first to answer the following question: When is it dementia? Because every one of us happened to go to either the kitchen or the next room forgetting why we went there in first place, each one of us happened to have a lapsus or to forget the name of a thing, especially if is not often used or to forget where we put certain things…There are a lot of reasons why such things can happen to us without being diagnosed with some kind of dementia.

But if we go shopping and we do not know what we’re doing there, or we often forget the names of the things we frequently use, if we forget the past or who are the closest persons to us or we do not know how to anoint a slice of bread anymore etc., then the problem becomes clear.

Factors that cause forgetting as a temporary phenomenon are many of which we mentioned the most common ones:

Older age, brain functions no longer work on the youth parameters.
