Walk to the southern end of Plaza de San Francisco, turn right then walk to the junction of the Avenida de la Constitución and Calle Plaza de San Francisco. Turn right onto this road then walk for 40 metres before bearing right to stay on Plaza de San Francisco. After 15 metres turn left onto Plaza Nueva.

Plaza Nueva

The New Plaza is lined with trees and located at the top of the Avenida de la Constitiucion where the Convento Casa Grande de San Francisco stood between the years 1270 and 1840. The convent and its gardens originally covered a huge space which extended well beyond the area covered by the square.
