“Thank God.” Eve practically dragged me down the hall and into my bedroom. “Take those pants off.” I dropped my hands to my waistband, but then she changed her tune. “No, wait. I want to undress you myself.”

She drew my top off and nudged my bra strap down my arm.

“It has a front clasp,” I offered, wanting her to hurry, hurry, hurry.

“I see that. But not . . . quite . . . yet.” She licked a path along the top edge of my bra, teasing me with her tongue until I was squirming.

“Eve, please.”

Another soft laugh, but she undid my bra and slid it off, freeing my aching breasts. My nipples contracted into tight points, and when she scraped her nails across them, I shuddered. “My turn,” I demanded, but she shook her head.

“Not yet,” she said again. She pulled me toward the bed and sat on the edge of it, then drew a finger from my sternum to my belly button, playing with my piercing again. “This is hella sexy. Is it sensitive?”

I moaned as she tugged at it. “What do you think?”

Her eyes twinkled with devilish intent. “I think I’m going to enjoy finding out just how much.” She played a little longer, then undid the button on my trousers with trembling fingers.

I wasn’t nervous, exactly, but it eased my mind to know she was as unsettled, and as desperate for touch as I was. Part of me, the part that believed I couldn’t possibly be this lucky twice in a lifetime, was worried I was making too much out of these feelings I had that didn’t want to be contained.

I ceased thinking and worrying as Eve drew my zipper down, kissing me just above the line of my panties. She shoved my trousers down my thighs. “Wonder Woman?” she said, a smile in her voice and on her face. “Love.”

“They called to me,” I said, resting my hands on her shoulders so I could step out of my trousers without falling over. “I have several pairs.”

She set her teeth against my hip, nipping me there. “Sexy.”

“I think so. You have this thing about biting,” I said, almost mildly. “I like it.”

“Good to know,” She nipped at me again. “I like the little noise you make when I do it.” All humor fled from her face as her eyes turned serious. “You sure, Tal? Really sure?”

I didn’t even hesitate. “Really sure.”

She hooked her thumbs in the sides of my panties, drawing them off, baring me to her. But rather than glancing down, she kept her eyes on my face, maybe waiting for signs of distress. I spread my legs the tiniest bit.

“Really, really, really sure.” I was so ready for this next step, and if she stopped now, I wouldn’t be held responsible for my actions. And since she was a cop, she’d probably have to arrest me. “If you don’t do something, I’m going to strangle you.”

She looked amused instead of threatened. “You can try. I’ll enjoy taking you down.
