In a large skillet or wok, brown the beef, breaking it up as it cooks. Add the salt, pepper, garlic powder, basil, oregano, and thyme as you go.

Thinly slice the onions, grate the carrots, and chop the cabbage.

When the beef is almost completely browned, add the onions and carrots. When the onions and carrots are starting to soften, add the cabbage. Cook about 10 more minutes, stirring often, until the cabbage starts to soften. Taste and adjust the seasoning as desired.
