Ana sat frozen on the stool. There it was again, that lost little boy Ana saw the first day they’d met in the café. Longing for someone to tell him, it was all right to be himself.

“Okay, I can agree to that. On one condition…we have to be honest with each other about everything. And if you are in doubt about my intentions or actions, ask before you insult. Or next time, I won’t just walk away. I will kick you in the family jewels…Deal?”

“Deal!” Dimitri said while looking excited. He took her hand and shook it, then turning her hand in his, he kissed the inside of her palm at the wrist. “Thank you my lady,” he whispered gazing up at her with his let me fuck you eyes.

JESUS, MARY AND AUNT JOSEPHINE! What have I gotten myself into? Ana was screaming in her head.

“So, do you wait tables here too?” he asked her.

“Uhh…No, I act in more of a management capacity here and I get to bake sometimes,” she replied, not lying but definitely, not telling the whole truth.

“Well, this is a very nice establishment. The owners have done a wonderful job.”

“I see your wheels turning Dimitri Peters. Don’t ever think about a hostile takeover. This is a family run business and I’m sure you understand how important it is to keep certain things in the family.”

“Yes, yes I can.” Dimitri decided right there, no matter what he needed to do. He was going to make this woman fall in love with him. He realized right in that moment—he never wanted to be without her.
