If you are within range of robots' sensors, they will find you and hunt you down like the animal you are.
Pull the Plug
There's more than one way to deactivate a rampaging robot. The method that you employ will depend on a number of factors, including what weapons you have at hand, your physical and mental condition, the environment you find yourself in and the type of robot that is trying to kill you.
Whenever possible, try to take out a robot from a distance. The closer you are to a robot, the greater the danger you are in. If your endeavors to thwart its relentless advance fail, run first, and then try and improve your strategic position before attempting another strike.
Wire cutters and tin snips are useful weapons during close-quarter combat. Sever as many exposed wires or tubes as you can. Most robots are not thermonuclear, so it doesn't matter which color you cut first.
Attempts to bludgeon a robot into submission will usually prove futile. A robot's armor-plated body is impervious to all but the most well-placed blows. If you are cornered or find yourself in a hand-to-hand combat situation, a few strategic strikes to its vulnerable visual receptors can render a robot momentarily confused. Once blinded, you can either make your escape or invest a few extra moments to decommission it completely.
If worse comes to worst and you find yourself with a robot's cold, metal fingers locked in a vice-like grip around your neck, try to find its “off” switch. As surprising as it may seem, the simplest solutions are oft en the most effective.
Bear in mind that a power switch can sometimes be difficult to locate in the heat of the battle. It usually can be found beneath a concealed panel somewhere on the robot's back or head. Powering down may only take a few seconds; extracting yourself from its frozen grip may take considerably longer.
