Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo

Fettuccini Alfredo is a naturally mild, creamy dish. If you feel the need to add spices, it’s okay with us.

Cooking Time: 20 minutes

Servings: 6

Ingredients: • 5 tbsp. butter

• 6 cups cubed uncooked chicken

• 1 lb. fettuccini

• 3 cloves garlic, minced, divided

• ½ tsp. oregano

• ½ tsp. basil

• 1 onion, diced

• 3 minced garlic cloves

• 1 cup sliced mushrooms

• 2 cups heavy cream

• Salt and pepper to taste

• 1 ¼ cups shredded Italian blend cheese

• ¼ cup chopped basil

Directions:

1. Heat 1 tbsp. butter in a skillet and add the cubed chicken, basil and oregano.

2. Sauté for 5 minutes and set aside.

3. Prepare the pasta in a pot of salted water for 10 minutes and drain. Set aside and keep warm.

4. Heat 4 tbsp. butter in the same skillet and sauté the onion, garlic and mushrooms for 8 minutes.

5. Stir in the cream and keep stirring until the sauce is smooth.

6. Season with salt and pepper.

7. Add the cheese blend the chopped basil and stir until the cheese has melted.

8. Return the chicken to the skillet and stir well. 9. Pour the sauce over the prepared fettuccini.
