Line a baking tray with greaseproof paper and a layer of half the Sao biscuits. Dissolve cornflour in a small amount of cold water or pear syrup. Add to the pears over low heat, stirring until mixture thickens. Spread evenly over Sao layer, top with the rest of the Saos, ice with white icing. Slice when set. Good as a lunchbox treat.

No one is pretending these are healthy, but children need treats. For school holidays and parties, these are fun to make and delicious to eat.
