“When the contraction would start,” said Kay, “I felt a surge of panic, ‘What to do?’ And so I needed someone very close by to catch me. I could just lean back into Bob’s arms and let all my muscles and mind relax, letting my uterus do all the work. It was all very intuitive, and I was so thankful to have people around who knew what to do, what would probably help.”

“We first experimented with the Dangle,” added Bob, “with me standing holding Kay. During birth class I realized that the weight and position would make it difficult to do over an extended period of time.We didn’t plan on adrenaline kicking in and giving me the added strength to hold her up through contractions for hours on end.”
