Lilo & Stitch - Black Forest Cake

Black Forest cake, being very much German is origin, may be raising a question in your mind, given that Lilo & Stitch is awesomely Hawaiian. However, question no more! Remember when Lilo & Stitch are having dinner at the restaurant where Nani was working? Lilo refuses to eat her sweet potato, and then demands desserts. What is served up to them (and what Stitch promptly devoured!) looked suspiciously like Black Forest cake, which just happens to be one of my personal favourites, so here it is!

Serves: 8-10

Preparation Time: 40 minutes

Ingredients:

14 oz. canned cherries

3 eggs

2 cups plain flour

2 cups sugar

2 cups whipping cream

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 ½ teaspoons baking powder

1 cup milk

¾ cup cocoa powder

¾ teaspoons baking soda

½ cup vegetable oil

½ cup icing sugar

Pinch of salt

Maraschino cherries for topping

Oreos for topping
