Find out what people like or what they don’t like in their providers, and what they’d do differently if they saw this provider again.

Someone who has been to myriad specialists and had bad outcomes may not be the best source from whom to gain referrals. Sure, you can learn from his or her mistakes, but it’s more efficient to search for those in your social network who have had a back problem similar to yours and had it treated successfully.
