People see me as a confident person. That’s how I like to be perceived. That is what I share. But I was insecure internally. I can’t always keep this mask on.

Being trapped in a white suburban area can really isolate you from what is out there in the world. I went to Catholic school. I wish I went to public. Honestly, I think about this, though. I wouldn’t change anything. All the things I’ve experienced—negative, positive, neutral—made me who I am. Made me the woman I am.

Even though there was a breaking point, multiple breaking points actually, they showed me what strength is and what I can overcome.
