Education

Working

The US workplace is not comprised only of jobs that require college degrees. Most jobs in our workforce do not require formal education and will not require it in the future. However, highly compensated jobs require formal education and sometimes specific certifications. This does not mean that if you choose a career that does not require a formal education you can’t make hundreds of thousands or millions of dollars. You can! However, you must be smart about how to leverage knowledge and certain skills that may be connected to independent jobs such as electricians, painters, handymen and women, roofers, information technology programmers, information technology security, and more.

Children in our country fail miserably because they simply lack certain knowledge about the fundamental practice of working in our country. There should not be any ambiguity about this. Children will grow up to be adults, and like every other child that has grown up to be an adult, they will be required to work. So, why not proactively prepare our children and have them prepare themselves so that they will be developed for the ever-changing workforce in our country? This simple gesture will make a huge difference in any child’s life. In addition, there are benefits for the parents as well. Let’s not forget that major colleges are willing to pay big bucks for best-in-class students. Your child could land a full ride to a four-year college with all of their expenses paid. Picture that!

The primary purpose of this book is to engender hundreds of thousands of young children who might (based on current statistical data) be perceived as unlikely to succeed and win against the odds. Workforce development practices (reading, education, and working) along with the Integrity Model principles (accountability and respect) and the Next Generation Model principles (duty for others and saving money) are the primary means by which the targeted-demographic will achieve success in the United States. I know with definitive and absolute certainty that if young children start very early in following and instilling these seven life principles within themselves, and if they maintain the discipline to stay the course for the rest of their lives, they will live enriched lives as they grow into adolescence and adulthood. I envision hundreds of thousands of children—maybe millions—keenly focused on grasping and understanding the value of working and doing those things necessary to exist in the United States while earning a lot of money in the process. The fact is, when you know the answers to the question of what it takes to win and the value of doing things the right way, it’s very easy to mitigate pitfalls, hardship, and calamity. The rules change (drastically) in your favor.

While parents initially own the accountability to shape their children’s lives in the right way by instilling these seven life principles, it is the child who ultimately has to groom and feed himself or herself. Our children must be committed and focused with purpose. The older they get, the more ownership they will have in ensuring their own accountability is intact.
