Chapter Seven

Boris rolled over and reached for Nix. The cold spot where she should have been made him crack one bleary eye. With a sigh he flipped on his back and covered his eyes with his forearm. They’d literally just gone to bed; she should be worn out. Instead she’d went missing. When would she learn not to run when things got complicated? He wiped a palm across the empty space. She wouldn’t go far. There was no way she’d leave Fre.

He sighed. After the night they had and he’d made it a point to try almost every sexual position that allowed her to control most of the nuances of what they did. Hell, they topped off their night of loving in the shower. His cock hardened as he remembered the way she’d looked at him when he’d entered her body the first time. Boris swung the door open. Claws erupted from his fingertips as hair started to cover his arm. His fingers closed around the intruder’s neck and he lifted the person off their feet. He felt nails cut across his arm.

“Boris, get a fucking grip!” Myka yelled.

Laughter filled the hall beyond them. “See, Myka, this is why Mama told you never to wake a sleeping bear.” Rhys fell against the wall and doubled over with laughter.

Boris released his brother and grunted. “This is a bad time.” He turned around and moved deeper into his room. “What the hell do you two want?”

His brothers followed him. “I want to know why your grumpy ass didn’t claim her. I have no clue why Rhys is here.” Myka rubbed his throat.
