As you invent options, you might also discover new interests—yours and your counterpart’s. If an option either of you comes up with sounds odd, think about why it might actually make sense and if it reflects an interest you haven’t identified yet. Iterating between options and interests and back to options is a good sign that you’re being open to the fluid nature of this process.
When you’ve generated as many options as you can, go back to your lists of interests and check that you have an option that addresses each one.
