Fruit Carbohydrates

The foods in this category are quite obvious. Everyone knows what fruits are:

apples watermelons

oranges peaches

mangos pears

pineapples berries

bananas etc.

Fruit carbs are generally better than sweet carbs and starchy carbs in terms of blood glucose and weight control. They also are known to provide more healthful nutrients than the first two categories. But are they a free ride? Can you eat as much fruit as you wish without significant blood sugar increases and weight gain? No! You can’t. You need to practice moderation with fruits.

I’ll start with the fruits that have the highest impact on blood sugar and weight gain and move to fruits with lower impact on blood sugar and weight.
