The frequency response fitting of this model can be evaluated with the following statements:

with the comparison results shown in Figure 5.28. It can be seen that the fitting quality of the 6th-order optimal Charef filter is close to the 17th-order filter in Example 5.16.

Even if good fitting over a large frequency range like (10−2, 106) is expected, a 16th-order optimal Charef filter can still be designed, and the fitting over the expected interval is perfect, as shown in Figure 5.29. Almost no differences can be witnessed from the fitting results. The fitting model and fitting quality are not shown here:
