Split left anterior descending artery

• Two separate arteries running in the LAD distribution. The second LAD may arise as a distinct branch of the LMCA, from a separate ostium in any of the three sinuses, or as a branch of the RCA. It can also be a branch of the other LAD. The longer of the two vessels, wrapping around the LV apex, is labelled the ‘long’ LAD (the other is labelled the ‘short’ LAD).

Ectopic origin of first septal branch

First septal branch arising from the LMCA, RCA, or their branches instead of the LAD (rare).
