Now, back under the cloudy Southern Californian skies, my exhaustion took over and I fell asleep back on my jacket.

I awoke from a deep slumber to see the dolphins waiting directly before me. THEY CAME! I leapt up, and without thinking, stripped down to my favorite word, au’natural and entered into the waves. Was a tad bit nippy, yet I was too happy to be thinking about that reality when I was off to be reunited with my oceanic family! I swam out to meet them beyond the sea break and we played together until I noticed a harbor seal looking at me. Feeling somewhat self-conscious, the reality of where, how, and why sunk in. I glanced back to the beach just as the lifeguard’s jeep was traveling by my discarded pile of clothes.

Oh my, I’m naked in the sea in a BIG metropolitan city!

I waited until the jeep passed again, and then swam back in. Shivering, yet elated and peaceful, I hiked up the hill to visit a girlfriend’s place in Pacific Palisades and was greeted with “You’re crazy, now get into a warm BATH!” No argument from me.
