"I have the patience to wait for her." Lee slapped his brother on the back and then headed out the side entrance of the building. He wanted to make sure he got a seat beside her at the meeting. Her co-worker David spent way too much time with his woman. If he hadn't heard the guy talking about his wife with such love, he would think David had feelings for Cherise.

Chapter Eleven

"I hope you enjoy your time with Lee because I'm going to take him from you. He isn't the type of man who'll want a woman like you."

Cherise closed her eyes and silently counted to ten as Missy's snippy voice sounded off behind her. What was this girl's problem with her? She was constantly in her face about something. Turning around from the window, she glanced at the girl who seemed to have a permanent scowl on her face.

"First, I'm not with Lee. He's working with me on the project and nothing more. Secondly, if you didn't know, he's my brother-in-law. Lee is family. So there will never be anything romantic between the two of us," Cherise lied, knowing just last night that she had a dream about Lee. It totally tossed him out of the family category. His fine ass was wearing her down and she couldn't let that happen.

Missy tilted her head to the side and eyed her like she could almost read her thoughts. "I don't believe you. There's no way you don't want a man as sexy as Lee. He doesn't care that he's part of your family. I've seen the way you look at him. You're lusting after him."

"Missy, leave Cherise alone," David chimed in as he walked into the room. "Every time I come around, you're in her face.

Give it a rest and find another poor soul to bother for the next hour."

She gave David a wide smile as Missy flipped her hair over shoulder and stormed away acting like the child she was.
