ICING

Beat together the cream, icing sugar and vanilla essence till soft peaks are formed.

The peaks shall stand erect when spooned and retain their shape.

Cut the cake into two layers. Soak it with caramel syrup on both the sides. (Mix wine or rum in caramel syrup.)

Spread one-third of the whipped cream on the first layer.

Spread a few halved cherries and half of the roasted nuts. Arrange the second layer on this. Pour the leftover syrup on top.

Smoothly spread second part of the whipped cream all over it and the third part of cream all around it.

Garnish the top of the cake with chocolate flakes and cherries.

Sprinkle nuts and leftover flakes all around it. Keep the cake in the fridge till the cream is set and chilled.
